Why Should We Hire You?

When I’m committed to something, whether that be a goal or a job, I’m fully invested in succeeding. Whether it’s staying up late to make sure a group assignment is completed or trying to get involved in any and every opportunity I can during my time as a student-athlete, I want to be involved. A few years at UNC on the field hockey team, I wasn’t happy with how I was playing and the playing time I was getting so I tried to find other ways to still make the most out of my experience.
I completed all three years of the Richard A. Baddour Carolina Leadership Academy training for student-athletes and completed a summer leadership program with them in 2020. I coached summer camps with them. I became the team’s community service representative, where I served as the liaison between the team and the outreach director and organized team fundraising and other volunteer opportunities. This past year I helped organize and lead team discussions involving racial justice and equality. So if you hire me, basically you’ll get someone who wants to fulfill the role and then some.
