Form and Idea

I completed this project for my MEJO 334 course, Visual Design for Strategic Communication. I took a photograph with my iPhone 8 Plus of the Karen Shelton Stadium locker room, home of the UNC Field Hockey Team, to use as inspiration for this design. I then generated a creative idea for a pattern. This pattern expresses the depth and light depicted in the photograph and embodies similar colors and shapes used in the locker room. Finally, I distilled the essence of my photo and pattern into a new but related design. I executed both of these pieces using Adobe Illustrator.
